Stories made of light, wood, and imagination

Sandra and her team transform spaces into experiences. They think in images, stories, and emotions.

What many people don't know is that every new decoration at Messepark starts on a blank sheet of paper—with a sketch, a color, an idea. Sandra collects impressions from nature, from her travels, and sometimes simply from a conversation at the center. From this, a concept emerges, first as a mood board, and then slowly taking shape.

"At first, you only see individual parts,
but in the end, a whole world emerges."

For her, a Christmas backdrop is not a static stage, but a small theater that thrives on
encounters. There are rabbits painting eggs, elves baking cookies, and sometimes a wink flashes out from among all the glitter: a black chick among the yellow ones, a giant carrot in the middle of the scene. This is how backdrops are created that connect generations.

Fabric, wood, metal, light—everything comes together to create a stage on which emotions play out. “It's like a puzzle,”
she says. “At the beginning, you only see individual pieces, but in the end, a whole world emerges.” And this world is never random. Even the smallest accessories, the colors of the bows, the position of a light—everything is chosen deliberately.
